Finding The Power

Week 7
Romans 1:16 (KJV)  - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

·         "I am not ashamed"
The world ridicules and tries to marginalize "The Good News". We have been called to proclaim the gospel! To be witness of what God has done. He is good. His love endures forever and reaches to the lowest hell in search of His beloved. And who is beloved of God? You are! Your neighbor, your co-worker, your boss, even your enemy! "God so loved the world" and that means everybody! Especially those that have rejected him. It is not weakness to believe but it is power and I will say with Paul, "I am not ashamed."

·         Read this today and thought I just had to share! But remember it is not only for the Preacher but for everyone who is willing to share the gospel.
"Preaching releases the power of God. You can’t pray for power and keep it in the deep freeze. Preach it and it is manifested. “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation.” (Roman 1:16) Be blessed. REINHARD BONNKE  The word in you is powerful but it does no one any good until it is released in faith.

·         "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ."
He did not come as a mighty warrior. He did not come as an eloquent politician. He did not come to conquer or to force His will. He had the power to do all that and more but Jesus came to show us the Father. He looked at the woman caught in the act of adultery and said, "Neither do I condemn you go and sin no more." He cherished the woman who came to anoint his feet when everyone else would have rejected her. He spoke to the thief on the cross, "Today you will be with me in Paradise." The power of the gospel is LOVE! If we are preaching any thing else, if we are acting in any other way, we deny the very essence of God's work through His son Jesus

·         “The Power of God unto salvation”
If God is for us who can be against us?  Paul asked that question in Romans 8:31 and the answer is the same today.  There truly is nothing that can separate us from the love of God except for an unbelieving heart.  The Word says this power that brings salvation is to “everyone that believes”.  Think about that, the power of God is unleashed in a heart of faith.
