Your Faith

Matthew 9:22 (KJV) - But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

“Your Faith”  Without faith it is impossible to receive what God has already given us.  Faith is what allows us to benefit from what God has freely given.  When we are saved it is faith that opens up the gift of God.  Christ died for our sins and the grace of God has been extended to man.  It is overwhelming to consider how much God loves us yet there are people who have not received God’s gift of salvation.  They are blinded by the god of this world and lost in sin only inches away from the bountiful goodness of God.  Think about that.  The one thing that can change their lives and wash away their iniquities is right in front of them but without faith they cannot appropriate the grace so freely given.  Paul tells us in Romans 5:2 “we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand”.  The vault of God’s goodness and grace is closed by a door that is unlocked only by faith.  If you believe, all things are possible.  Let us say with the father of that poor child who was vexed by an evil spirit in Mark 9:24, “Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.”
