When Jesus Speaks

10:52 (KJV) - And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith
hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and
followed Jesus in the way.
“When Jesus Speaks” As I write this
to post among the millions of other postings that are being published
today it is evident that for all of our pontificating men have very
little power to actually follow through on what they say. If I tell
someone to receive their sight or rise up and walk the words may sound
enticing or even powerful but I have no inherent power to make those
things happen. But when Jesus spoke those words blind eyes were open
and the lame rose up and walked. When Jesus says “Peace, be still” the
winds cease and the waves calmed. There was never anyone that could do
these things and even those that followed him daily were astonished at
His power. Faith has a lot to do with who speaks the words. It is
never commanded that we have faith in the preacher or the evangelist.
We are never told to seek out the one that preaches the best or builds
the largest church. The command is simple “Have faith in God.” Jesus
tells us in John 14:13 “That whatever you ask in my name, that will I
do…” He has given us authority to come before the throne of God and ask
anything in Jesus name. And when Jesus speaks…
