the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Atonement is defined by the
dictionary as satisfaction or reparation for a wrong or injury. In the archaic sense it means reconciliation
or agreement. We have received atonement
through the shed blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:11). The wages of sin is death. This price has been paid by Jesus on the
cross. His death reconciled us with
God. The books have been balanced not through
anything we have done but through The Atonement. It is His death that provides the gift.
